nXT AI: The Future of Innovation(-management)

Research and development has always relied on state-of-the-art technologies to push the boundaries of innovation. Today, the prevalence of digital technologies and data-driven applications are transforming the very nature of the innovation process. New digital tools and smart data are reducing complexity, decreasing time-to-market, and enabling customer centricity in new product development. A key implication of this development is that for businesses the ability to scale fast is starting to become a precondition for success.

All of these catalysts provide huge opportunities to increase both the effectiveness and efficiency of the new product development process – but also demand new skills and capabilities. In this year’s Aachener Innovationsplattform, experts from some of the most successful digital companies, leading researchers and innovative start ups will give insights into the strategic capabilities necessary to create – and profit from – the future of innovation.

It will be my pleasure to welcome you in Aachen!

Professor Dr. Frank T. Piller
Head of Institute
